Parliamentary Vice-Minister Kato Holds Meeting with H.E. Mr. SUN Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia

On Friday, May 30, Mr. Kato Akiyoshi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. SUN Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC). They exchanged views towards further strengthening bilateral relations between Japan and Cambodia.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on topics including cooperation in supporting Japanese companies’ efforts and business expansion in Cambodia. Furthermore, in light of the memorandum of cooperation on investment promotion concluded between the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and the CDC on May 29, they agreed that both countries would collaborate to promote investment by Japanese companies in Cambodia. Specifically, they agreed to work together to establish a Business Co-Creation Team, through which the Cambodian government will provide one-stop solutions to Japanese companies.
